Outside the Office: Aaron
Since it is Aaron’s birthday today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON!) we deemed it necessary to have him share a bit more about himself.
Aaron was raised in Riverside, California as the second of 4 children. All his siblings start with “A” so they always called themselves the “A-Team”.
Growing up, he enjoyed working on classic cars (mostly Fords!) with his Dad and brothers. Below you will see a few of the family cars that were a rotating focus in the McKell Garage.

1965 Ford Falcon Sprint (taken 2005 - Aaron’s personal favorite)

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback (taken 2005 - gotta love that hair-do)
Aaron received his Masters of Accounting from Brigham Young University and is still an avid Cougars fan to this day. During his very first month at BYU, he met his sweet wife Caroline. They dated for about a year before Aaron left on his 2-year church mission to Spokane, Washington. A little over a year after his departure, Caroline served her mission to Utica, New York. They kept in touch solely via written letters during those 3 years and were married 4 short months after reuniting!
Once both graduated, Aaron took a job in Silicon Valley with one of the Big 4 accounting firms, PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) as a part of the Transaction Services group where he focused on helping companies navigate through the complexities of accessing capital markets and complex accounting scenarios. During this time he also obtained his CPA license and he and his wife had their daughter Eleanor.
He later joined Veater financial Group in October 2014 with the primary responsibility of holding client review meetings and providing important tax minimizing planning strategies. Aaron loves to make “the complex” and “the frustrating” simple.
Today, Aaron and Caroline have two children: Eleanor (3 years) and Ford (1 year) that keep them plenty busy. As a family, they enjoy bike rides, dancing to the nutcracker (mostly just Daddy and Eleanor), and of course, bed time stories. Aaron and Caroline enjoy traveling, and finding fun local restaurants (their current goal is to find the best bruschetta that Fresno has to offer).
